I have an 04 TZX190. Is Skeeter going to be my best shot at skins for the seats or is there some other options? Went to an upholstery shop and cheapest quote was about $220 for a repair. He said get the skins and it would be about $60 to fix.

The skins are as cheap as the originals (really thin) and rather expensive for an entire set...Bases upon the numbers you are giving what are you trying to do? It doesnt sound like you are wanting to replace all the seats.

There are some tears on the seams but can't be sewn back. Other than that they are in great shape. But each seat needs to be repaired and at that price I can actually buy completely new seats for less.

Not sure what the seats look like but have you asked about them using your existing covers as patterns and making the covers for you? You'd be able to choose the material and might get a better quality seat.

If you want to go the cheap route and get some extra mileage out of the seats before re-skinning them, go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels and get vinyl repair glue. Put down several thin layers on the split allowing each layer to completely dry before the next.

I replaced all of mine from www.bassboatseats.com and Im extremely happy with them. They use a much thicker vinyl and match the interior great.

I thought about recovering mine but I came to the conclusion it was just a bandaid and didnt want to spend any more money on the cheap vinyl Skeeter uses

I may try that before spending a ton of money.

Check out the seats her. They made Champion seats Put some in mine a few years back. They do cost more than the seats from BBS.com but it is a real nice product.
