Jambo's BBQ has opened a new location in Arlington. Have not eat there yet but understand they are going thru about 25 briskets a day and selling out pretty early.
The Rendon location is off the chart good brisket so would expect Arlington to be good also. food

I've eaten at the Jambo's in Rendon and it was exceptional BBQ. My wife and I split the "Jambo Texan" and we left stuffed and still had a take home box of BBQ. The Texan has two slices of Texas toast topped with smoked sausage, brisket, pulled pork, smoked bologna and ribs. (at $12 bucks it's a bargain)

tried it last night 1st time. It was great. Had Brisket and pulled Pork, BBQ sauce reminded me of Sweet Baby Ray's (just tasted it don't use sauce). The brisket was tender and moist. We were there at 1730 and were out of ribs already. That says to me they must be excellent. Read that they are taking over the old Arlington Steak House location. That is their 3rd eaterie to open.

I tried it at the S Arlington location and wasn't impressed at all. Did they take over the old Arlington steakhouse location now?

Yeah...not sure if it's completed, but they've been working on it for a few weeks. If the food is as bad as the one in S. Arlington, I won't be going. The one in S. Arlington had a huge glob of fat in the pulled pork. Disgusting. Plus, all the freaking flies...and the service was less than acceptable. Too many places with good food and better service. They will have to change things for me to give it another try.

Went to the Little Road location once and it was ok. Lots of folks must really like because the parking lot is usually packed.

My thought was the brisket was excellent. I have to have a good vinegar sauce with my pulled pork which they do not have. Ribs were nothing special. But for the price compared to some of the other BBQ joints...yes I would go back
