A few I painted last night can hardly make out the scales on the radius did a blue over the grey thinking the grey outline would stand out, kinda blended together. Side note this s crank is a pita to scale mask with the curves on the top and bottom and super wide squarebills.

The grey outline under the blue didn't turn out as good as I thought it could, still a good looking bait and should be a fish catcher

They look good. One thing that might help separate the 2 scale colors would be try a different mesh on either the top or sides. One thing for me is the roll on those square bills is such a short fade that it's hard to get extra detail before the top color takes over, especially with scales.
