Thinking about heading to Fork tomorrow night for the weekend. Anyone give me any pointers on how to fish the points down by the dam? I'm a crappy noob and usually just tie up to trees.

Go South to the dam and find the points and get off the ends in the 27-40 FOW. One day they will be in 27 fow and the next day they will be in 36fow and everything in between. Use your graph to find the baitfish them drop straight down all the way to the bottom. Raise your rod up about 4-6 inches off bottom and they will slam it. Repeat the process. It is about as easy as it gets right now.

^ now that is a tip!

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Purple/chartreuse and blue/white hand tied jigs. Plastics, Black Emerald shiner with tail dipped in chartreuse have been go to baits. Hold on to those rods...sand bass have dang near taken the rod out of my hand the last 2 trips.

I don't do the Minner thing, But I have taken some guys out and they are using them. They are having to contend with Sandies using the minners. Sandies seem to leave my jigs alone. As for the ratio is concerned, I will stick with my Jigs
