Any idea if Monti will be muddy tomorrow after all this rain? Seems like it takes in less runoff than most lakes. Heading out there in the morning. Thanks.

I have not been out there this week but the lake is up nearly 4'. My guess is the ramp is most likely not usable but I could be wrong. From a clarity stand point I would think the south end will be ok but the north end will be a cold muddy mess.

Please let us know how you do. Have been considering a trip mid-week.

Thanks,

I was there last week and the north end was still murky from the previous rains. The mud should mostly stay on that side of the bridge unless they open the flood gates.

Monticello generator was running today, but discharge water was 68 degrees. Warm-side was about 60-63 degrees.
Warm-side was chocolate milk. Large islands of floating hyacinth about. Low headroom under the road bridge. Monti is up 1.68ft since yesterday and sitting at +3.18ft.

I was only there for a partial afternoon, not to unpleasant, but no fish. Saw a few, they would not bite and didn't find the others.

Boat ramp was GTG. Boat ramp dock top is now in the parking lot & beaching is tricky:

I won't be going tomorrow.

Appreciate the report. Plans changed, so we are now heading out there tomorrow (Wed) instead. Now I'm wondering if welsh will be a better option.
