Seen a picture where the water was inches from going over the bridge. Probably going to be a lot of damage to homes and docks this go round. The water level is 5.87 ft high now and it has gone down some.

Sandlin is also falling, despite the water I am sure is gushing into it from Cypress Springs. Pines is going to get REALLY high. It's already 8 feet above normal.

I have never seen a year in which seemingly every time it rains it pours for hours on end and we end up with 3-8 inches. We've had well over 70 inches of rain in Tyler this year and that includes a three month drought during which we hardly got a drop. That means we are averaging about 8 inches per month for the other nine months.

Crazy.

Per COE web site, Sandlin is releasing almost 20,000 cfs.
