I didn't get out until late Saturday afternoon and wanted to get some slime on my new kayak.I finally found them Late Saturday and was set to do some night fishing when the commander in chief called and said get my *ss of the water NOW! I said yes ma'am and paddled like crazy for the truck when I turned around and looked at the dark clouds heading my way fast. I got home just in time to watch everything unfold on the TV. I am really glad she was taking care of me ! No full stringer but enough for a really good batch for me and her with maybe a bite for the fuzzy vacuum cleaners under the dining table.

Thanks all. I pedal Hobie Kayaks. They are powered by your feet leaving your hands free for fishing all the time. and require about the same effort as walking on level ground. I have logged many 10-15 miles days without knowing it until I checked my GPS at the end of the day. This particular one is an Hobie Outback which is my weapon of choice a lot of the time. I can throw it in the back of my truck and be gone in a couple of minutes. It has wheels that snap under to walk it down to the water if there is no ramp. You can hit the rudder hard just as you get to a column or tree and will slowly drift in a 360 degree circle around it letting you work it pretty quickly. Water and falling out is not a problem. The hulls are really shaped like a mini pontoon boat on the bottom putting all the flotation outside your hips. I can stand on one side and throw my cast net with no problems. This one has a 400 lb payload and my bigger Hobie Pro Angler has a 600 lb payload. They are crappie machines. I run Humminbird SI on both. this is the outback http://shop.mariner-sails.com/Hobie-Mirage-Outback-HC-OUTBACK.htmand this is the pro angler http://shop.mariner-sails.com/Hobie-Mirage-Pro-Angler-14-HC-PROANGLER14.htmNeches, is your handle for the river or the town? I was born and raised in Port Neches.
