Yep! Mr fish is right! Switch baits til you find size, color & location in current often! Green slabs seemed to work good today!$

With that much water it would be hard. When they drop the release just a bit. It will be good again. I just reloaded on slabs and spoons. Got some new weighted bobbers too. I'm ready.

I think that's what a lot of folks don't realize is those guys with big stringers have been there 6 hours already. That being said with the corps releasing 6000+ cfs, it no surprise it's hard fishing the last 24 hours.

well all the gates are open today and saw everything but black bass being pulled in. Not in large volumes but enough to keep it interesting....

Hey Bubbler99 did you fish off the main river or the creek , Sorry to sound like I'm poaching but its a 30 minute drive for me and I really would like to get info on the conditions before heading out there .

I was out there today and didn't see a lot of fish being caught on the bank or the creek. One guy had 6 Crappie and had been fishing for 6 hours.... To me that is not a good return on your time. LOL

I am by no means saying it was a fishing frenzy. I snuck away from work for a couple hours. I did see at least three guys catching crappie on the back side of the wall with both jigs and minnows and at least 4 bufflers and one blue cat pulled in while I was there (11:30 to 1:30). I could not tell for sure but did not see the guys down stream pulling in much.

But the weather was nice, the sun was out and if I had my pole .............it would have been in the water.

Ya I left about 9:30 and came back around 2:30. The action at the wall was non existent and the creek was sloooooow! I guess I should have just stayed. Lol. Still the return on time invested didn't make sense to me. I got hungry! Haha

It will come back. And I will be there! Those who are not catching anything what are you using? How far are you casting out? It makes a difference.

I was fishing for Crappie, only managed a couple of small sand bass. I think in the next day or so it will settle back down.
