My suggestion would be to contact the OKWD for the schedule. Their website is usually current. But I also know that, at least in the past, they've changed it up at the last minute to foil the meat hunters who would descend on a scheduled stocking day and clear out the holes.

LOWER MOUNTAIN FORK RIVER UPDATE-
On Tuesday, December 22, The US Army Corps of Engineers is planning to increase the release from Broken Bow Dam from approximately 150cfs to 1100cfs. This makes fishing the river the domain of strong, experienced waders only. This flow will continue for the next several weeks. Use good judgement and caution when wading. This release is in addition to any water that may be released from the hydroelectric power plant.

Above info is correct - the flows will be upped to 1100+ CFS Tuesday and expect to remain that way for a few weeks at minimum. If you are not intimately familiar with the river, it will be difficult fishing at best. The next stocking would be Dec 30, but that may be put on hold (or may not).

You likely won't get anyone to tell you where they stock. fish If you see a tube, that's likely one place.

Spillway creek will be dangerous. Evening hole and the rest of Zone 1 will be flooded and pretty swift moving.

Take precautions if you do go.

With this flooding is it worth it to plan a trip around new years (will the fishing still be good)?

Here we go again. I hope the fly shop makes it.

I had a feeling with all this rain and the CORPs need to open the gates prior, that the floodgates would end up being opened up.

Hope so to, but from the looks of it there will be a lot more damage this go around.

Just reported by Aaron, the flood just washed away the Fly Shop. Prayers for Eddie and Roberta. I can't imagine watching your retirement float away.

Thoughts and prayers for Eddie, Roberta, their staff, and all of the other people that depend on the river and lake for income and support. I go for R&R and I'm torn up over this year's events up there, I can't imagine what those people are going through.

The guys that know them personally, please keep posting updates on how everybody is doing and I would encourage everybody to pass the word about the Lower Mountain Fork Foundation (or any other organizations that help out) so donations can be made to help rebuild again.

God Bless

Last Flood was in the 24K CFS Range, this one is in the 34K CFS.

Check out the pics here...

http://lmfrfoundation.org/river-shaping-up-after-flood-72115/

All roads are blocked off 1/4 mile from the dam and park to keep people off the bridges and dams...

They opened the gates a foot and a half higher than they did last time.
