I have always wondered what people's favorite spinning reels are I personally have always used the shimano Stradic. What's your favorite spinning reel?

The most expensive one I have is a Shimano Stradic Ci4. Im just not a fan of spinning tackle. I do like high end bait casters.

Spinning reels aren't qutie as complex as bait casters so I don't spend too much on them. You can get by fine without spending less. The Pflueger President for 59.99 has pretty good reviews for the price... I bought my dad a few and use a couple myself a couple of years ago and have no complaints. Very smooth.
I got a couple of the Revo S spinning reels for Christmas and am looking forward to putting those to the test this year as well.

Definitely not a high end reel, but my Daiwa Luvias 2506H is light, smooth and doesn't have any of the line management issues of a cheap egg beater.

Pflueger President hands down for the money - model 6935 or 6940 for Texas bass fishing - they have a limited edition out right now that is about $12 more expensive but a bit lighter - i gave up baitcasters for these to catch more fish rather than untangle messes... i am sure people will fuss with this, but my results speak for themselves...

Stradic ci4 is the best but I personally like the phlueger presidents also. Great reel for the money. Even the phlueger Trion for $35 at academy is an awesome reel for the money. I have one that's 8 years old and still just as smooth as day 1.
I dont fish for a living but i LIVE TO FISH!

I agree on Pflueger President and Stradic ci4. I have them both and both are great. If I bought another it would likely be the Pflueger just because of the price difference.

No more than I use one, a BPS carbonlite works good for me. I bought one of their Black Friday specials and let my wife put it under the tree for me. Finally got it out the day after Christmas and threw a practice plug in the back yard. Didn't try for distance but instead was working on my accuracy - first few casts I nearly lost the practice plug as I literally put it over the top of a fifty foot tree about 80' from where I was standing. Granted the wind was at my back but really light - I'd say a breeze of less than 5mph and I was in a protected area as my lot is surrounded by tall trees. When I finished playing around I tied a crank bait to it and put it in the rod box in the boat - I'll cover a lot of water with it for sure.
