What is a common length on blues over 50 pounds?

50 pound blue should be right around 59 inches.

Just depends on what time of the year it is and what lake you are fishing.

Our lake typically has shorter fish then a lot of other lakes. A 50 pound fish on Tawakoni can be 44 inches. I would say commonly though 45 to 47 inches.

Thanks guys that makes sense---i caught a 45 on Lavon last year that weighed 45.....caught a 48 on t-wok this year that was 47 long. 50 inch plus fish would be a massive bad boy

I agree about 47 inches, whats sad is tpwd let someone sneak past a so called catch and release record on cooper saying 58 inches ! Codys state record was 55 inches I think and it was 121 lbs.Several years back I emailed tpwd asking about it and requested a picture and the fish didn't look over 35 lbs
