Can a 798 and Helix 9 share waypoints via a Com cable network?
I have a Com network now and since the Helix has a Com port as well as an Ethernet port it seems like they should communicate. I don't see anything in the Helix Manual about it.

Thanks

only the 798 hdsi is networkable if that's the one you have then yes it is capable. They are Ethernet capable only networks, can't use the interlink with the Helix

The Helix 9 COMM port is for an external GPS antenna connection mostly.

The XX9 models and Helix models are not INTERLINK capable. INTERLINK has been discontinued.

All three 798's have a COMM port for an external GPS connection or INTERLINK or both with the AS YC cable.

As 44 Diesel stated, the 798ci HD SI Combo is Ethernet capable and with the same adapter that the Helix requires for connection of an Ethernet cable. AS EC QDE.
