Looking for a Dead Sticking Video

This might sound odd, but i'm looking for a dead sticking technique "how to" video. I've seen several rigging, baits to use, blogs, etc (thanks Moestackleshop...), but can't find an instructional video of 'how to'. It might be boring since from everything I have read, it's "drop it down, don't move it, and wait", but is there somewhere that has such a video?

Because you are fishing fairly deep, deadsticking is about setting the hook hard, immediately when you get the "tap". Think Ninja reflexes. You won't get a second chance because they don't "nibble on the bait'. Most fisherman use too limber of a rod and thus miss a lot of hook sets because there is too much give on of the end of the rod when setting the hook. As more and more people are beating on their boats, I tend to think thumping is not as effective as it was years ago.

The thumping still works. The only problem is like GofishNow said more people are thumping " too close to each other" If two people are thumping with in 100 yards of each other the fish will split and go to both or move off. We have discovered as soon as someone comes within 100 yards of us and start thumping, the fish don't stay under us as good as when we are 100 yards or more apart. So the best thing to do is ask the folks already thumping if they don't mind you fishing by them or find another part of the lake away from others with bait and fish and thump yourself

I've noticed when others are thumping near me while I also thump, the fish will move around a lot more. If a GOOD friend comes along, if I have the anchor out, I will let them tie up to my boat at the back about 15 ft. or so, and not thump. They get the same results as I do, with only one of us thumping. As far as a video about deadsticking, I have not seen one yet. It is somewhat boring unless you are in the fish. Then it can be the fastest fishing you have ever done. The main thing like has been said, watch your graph, and put your bait right in their (the fish's) face. Eyes are at the top of their head, so 2" to 1 ft. above the eyes. Hold still, jiggle it a little, hold still. The fish will tell you what they want.

Thanks guys for all the info, very much appreciated. Does this work on Whites as well? Anything different in technique or baits? (smaller plastics or anything?)
