99 Merc 225 efi needs lower unit seals replaced. I'm looking for a recommendation preferably in the Plano/Frisco area but am willing to drive as needed. Lower unit is removed, cleaned, prop removed, and old milky fluid drained. I will replace water pump impeller, just need all seals replaced and leak tested.

Thanks,
Ron

If you don't find someone soon. I would refill the lower unit. You sure don't want it to rust. Just my .2 cents

Larry's across the street from Plano Marine. I would buy a boat from Plano Marine but would never have them do any repair work. Bad experience for lower unit repair. They put in the wrong size spring for a popit valve which caused engine to overheat and caused major repair bill. Took it in for just a impeller replacement as normal maintenance and got to rebuild an engine afterwords. frown

Thanks BigDave. Is Larry's the name of the shop? I've never heard of him. Someone else recommended Tommy Yetts at Rockwall Marine. I will give Larry's and Mr. Yetts a call on Monday. I'm not fishing next week in the cold weather anyway.

Any other reco's?

Thanks,
Ron

I would also recommend Larry's Marine. I have used him the last few times I had work done. He always did a good job.
