I got a cabin on Fayette County lake for 2 days my 2 boys and I my wife and daughter are also coming. I have never fished the lake. I wamted to know if anyone has been there recently and if there are any hot spots, tips, techniques, colors and lure type and selection if some of the vets on here would be able to share. I just want to have a good time out there with the family and help would be a blessing. Merry Christmas.

When in doubt, throw a June bug wacky worm on the dam or on the left side of the discharge canal.

I don't know the name of the ramp, but it is the one with the small cove and cabins right on the point.
Start right there and fish the right hand bank, going out, with a spinner bait and black n blue fleck Senkos
Work slow, lots of fish there. Work your way down the bank and into the cove. Work the bank all the way to the point, then move out to the edge of the grass beds in 10ftbof water and fish "anything"
Next, go around the point and to the right and fish in the trees
Have fun

Find main lake point get 4-5 foot of water and throw a red with chartreuse bottom rattle-trap in crawfish pattern or a silver black back crank bait. Like said at the top if all else fails go to the dam and throw a wacky worm watermelon or watermelon red.

If it's windy don't curse the wind, get in it. Fish the windy points w/cranks and rattletraps. Shad or red colors.
