March! As for time morning bite was best for me!

I fish Amistad for a month in the spring and fall, always good for me, good luck

Our best months have been late February and early March for size on pre spawn fish.

-2009ish No really I've heard its been doing better. We always went right after school got out and fished a lot of top water... But I would say Easter has been pretty good historically down there. March can be cold... As for Guide, The Amistad Man is my favorite. JC Gwen... he is a blast to fish with... We need to get back down there

Between two of us yesterday 4 hours caught 25 fish, 1 under all others 2-3lbs. Lost lower unit had to call it quits.

Late February and March are the best times to fish Amistad! As for guides I have heard a lot of good things about Kurt Dove! Never fished with him but have friends of mine who did. They had an outstanding trip with him. Both friends said they caught plenty of nice fish and learned a lot! Great lake with lots of beautiful scenery.
