I fished a spot on Lake Mcqueeney that I had not fished in a while. I located a school of nice BIG Redear! Fished from 10am till 1:30pm and caught 24 very nice Redear. The smallest was 9" and the largest just a little over 11". I had seven others that were in the 10" range. The rest of the fish were in the 9"range. All of the fish were healthy,fat,and full of fight! Rounding out the catch were a couple of very nice Bluegill in the 9" range with the biggest just under 10"! Fish were caught in 6 to 7 feet of water and were stacked feeding in the water's current. The water was clear in most areas and stained in others. The current was strong. Fish were caught using worms with a bottom technique. Since I was having trout for dinner, all of the fish were released to fight again. Having a great day on Lake Mcqueeney. It just don't get any better!

Nice ones Chuck. Glad you got into the Redear and Bluegill! Mcqueeney is starting to pick up some. Did well the other day. Gills are holding in 10 to 12 feet of water by docks. Crappie are by drop offs in 15 feet.

Side Note: East side will be picking up especially after this weekends cold front. High temperatures will be in the fifties with lows at freezing. Fished the west end this week and did not do any good at all! Any resent east side reports? Thanks.

Thanks Curtis,stubby 77,and Hunter498 for the replies. Curtis. Fished the east side a couple of times and did well on the Crappie. Sunfish are getting hard to find. Have not got into the sunnies yet this year.
