I think you're right about Local Support to purchase Hybrid fingerlings. Not many would participate in funding the fish.

From October to March, I fish 2 to 4 days a week and rarely see a boat on a Weekday. Even the Saturdays are slow from December thru February. I honestly believe the boat traffic is less the past few years than it was in the 1990's. Guess the drought for several years, and then issues like Windy days and tough fishing, have fishermen going to other Lakes.

It's absolutely WONDERFUL to have a 45,000 acre lake all to yourself! fish

We managed to fish a couple of trips this week, fought the WIND on Friday and Saturday and caught a few Catfish in the timber along the South Shoreline in sheltered Coves. The protected area near Winkler Creek was out of the 25MPH Wind and held a few Catfish as we managed 44 Keepers on our Friday trip and a Dad/Son Combo caught 30 Keepers on Saturday. Pretty tough fishing with a very soft bite and hard to detect on the bumpy water. All fish caught in 25'FOW in timber and on DK's Blood Punch Bait.

One more week with our WINTER DISCOUNT in effect and we have a boat open on Friday and Saturday this coming week. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

Good news for those Anglers wanting to fish for the Whites and Hybrids on RC as the fish are just now starting to show up on the Main Lake. Small Males and a few Keepers were found on Friday and Saturday off Main Lake Points in 15'-25' water. Small Slabs with a Jig Teaser lifted verrrry slowly off the bottom resulted in a few fish. Adam's Customers on Saturday wanted to try for the Whites and managed about 15 Keepers, lots of throwback and a few undersized Hybrids. (The big Females are still up the Creeks where only bank fishermen can get too them. Guessing we'll see more & more action on the Main Lake in the next two weeks.)

My Party yesterday stayed with the Catfish and the Byrd Family from Tyler had a nice Saturday Evening Fish Fry! food

We have openings for Spring Break in March and would love to put you on some fish! Give us a call and We'll Go Fishin'!

We'll call this the last Fishing Report for "Winter Fishing On RC" and hope you've enjoyed the Weekly Updates. We'll begin our "Spring Season" this next week with Spring Breaks happening around the State from March 7th thru March 18th. Probably won't be doing much in the way of TFF Reports for a few months as we gear up for our Mid-March thru June timeframe when we fish six days a week and it doesn't leave much time for anything but "Eat, Sleep and Fish"! partyon

Fished Monday, Friday and Saturday this last week and found just a few Whites and small Hybrids on the South Shoreline Points near the Lighthouse. Caught fish on 1oz. Chartruse RSR Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) Couldn't find any fish on Pelican or the Main Lake Humps. Did see a Report in the Whites/Hybrid Section of some good action on Saturday Afternoon on the South Shoreline. Won't be long and we'll be chasing the White Bass!

Catfish were fair on our trips and we caught Channels and Blues over Baited Holes in 20' water near timber. All on DK's Punch Bait. Saturday was especially FUN with the Carroum Family from Dallas. Twin Girls caught plenty for a Saturday Night Fish Fry!

We have a few March Weekday Openings and even one boat open on Saturday, March 19th and 26th. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!

SPECIALIZING IN FAMILY FISHING FUN!!! thumb
