Depends on what I want versus what I need. Most of the time I spend less than $20 a month on stuff. This year I spent a bunch upgrading my rods and reels. This next year I plan on spending mostly on my boat to do some upgrades on it.

I go middle of the road on reels Shimano Curados and Cores and step up on rods to G Loomis GLX,NRX and Dobyns Championship Extreme. 90% was bought here used on the forum for about half of original cost.

I usually buy stuff for each trip cause, you know the fish bite different stuff each time.
Or that is how I justify it...

If I'm gonna get a rod and reel that is gonna be $1000, I will order it from TW or some other established dealer that offers free shipping and no sales tax. Otherwise I probably try to keep it under a hundred bucks when I hit a tackle store, but I already have more stuff than I will ever use.

I'll admit and this is the dead honest truth. I probably spend $200 a year on tackle. Mainly just line and a couple bags of plastics to replace what I ran out of. I have more tackle now than I ever use since I don't fish a quarter of what I used to.

Probably 100-200 a month with new baits to try and tungsten for sure isn't getting any cheaper plus I'm always trying new colors. Don't let my gf see this or I might be single...

Usually between $50 and $300. Just about always from Tackle Warehouse. I got tired visiting stores trying to find what I wanted. No real tackle stores in Houston unless you count BPS or Fishing Tackle Unlimited.
Every once in a while I will spend more on rods and reels. $300 for a combo is my max.

Some months I don't spend a dime and rarely ever drop more than $30-$40 at a time unless I'm specifically looking to buy a rod or reel. I'm pretty cheap these days. That being said, a week or so ago, I took my wife tackle shopping with me and she said "why don't you let me buy you something nice" Jokingly I strolled her over to the G.Loomis rack and showed her an NRX, expecting her to choke and gag at the prices. Long story short, I walked out with 4 new Loomis rods. Love those NRX!!!! Funny part is they had Metanium and Aldebran reels on sale and she quipped "you sure you don't need new reels for all those nice rods" I'm glad she doesn't like to fish.
