Dec. 22, 2015 Fishing Report: Lake Level – 237.13 + 8.63 high Releasing (cfs) 2923 Water Temp – 55 to 58
Half Day Trip. 7am – 11:30pm Vary slow bite today do to high water level and they have the gates are wide open. Only had 12 bites all day and seen 10 other boats out today, this is not normal for Pines this time of the year, there should be about 70+ boats out on the week day. The fish we did get came out of 28 feet of water down about 12 to 14 feet on Jigs.
We just move from Caddo Lake area in July of the year, so we been spending more time on Pines. Next trips are 29, 30 should a have reports then. Dont look for the fishing to pick up with gates open like they have them now.

Thanks for that good report...I've been wondering. The wife asked "what does that mean when the gates are wide open"? "It means the fish are to busy hanging on to try and eat".
To whom much is given, much is required.

You're correct. The bite should be totally different. We have been scratching out a limit here and there. But they have been some big crappie
