For those of you that fish or fly fish in Beaver's Bend Park on the Lower Mountain Fork river in OKlahoma, please take a moment to click on the link below and complete a short questionnaire. I am posting this only in the fly fishing section for now. Our goal, along with the LMF river foundation, is to update and change a few regulations.

1) We are attempting to make the 'Red Zone' restrictions easier to understand. The state is eliminating the last vestige of Lost Creek (Now a swamp). We are trying to get the red zone from the washed out bridge (formerly cold hole bridge) to Evening hole bridge. Easy to see, easy to regulate, easier to enforce.

2) Some want to lower the creel and bag limits. I am in that group. If you feel the same, or even like the current status, there is a place to voice your opinions. PLease feel free to tell the state of Oklahoma what you would like to see.

3) There are other areas to voice your opinions on other topics as well. Flow changes? More Brown Trout?

The state of Oklahoma really does want our opinions. The ODWC, LMFRF, and several others are in discussions on how to proceed with the trout fishery. The flood of Spring 2015 has given us a crack to attempt to get some changes put through.

Great post hope all of us who love that river share are voice on this. I personally would like to see rainbows taken down to four and only one over 20" and brown trout catch and release only with maybe a few more stocked.

Bump finally got to sit down and finish my detailed opinion on this please guys I know it's hard to think about with the flooding right now. But take the time to fill this out because you know she will we be back good as new in no time. I suggested they keep the 20 inch brown trout stream wide regulation with the exception of the restricted area that should be catch and release for all trout. Also made the suggestion to protect browns from harvest from the end of September till 1 February stream wide. Reduce the bag limit on rainbows to four with only one fish over 18 inches. As well as suggested better signs and marking the restricted area from road to road to be more cut and dry. Hopefully we can get enough responses to make an impact
