abu tech support told me today that all 6500 c3's have a clicker. he also said that the only Swedish built reel now is the Morrum.
so, not sure if these c3's are Swedish leftovers or Chinese...........

Sounds to good to be true. Waiving the right to return, giving your debit card (direct link to your bank account). Hope it works out for you. Sorry to sound so negative, really glad that you got a good deal.

The c3's are swedish made. The s4 is the chinese one and honestly its not where its made that makes it so bad its all the crappy plastic parts the used in it. This site is a competitor to Amazon and their secret sauce is that if you buy multiple items from the same warehouse, they save on labor and shipping and pass that savings along to you. You don't have to waive your right to return or use your debit card, so they may end up being like $88-$90 a piece if you do that.

Here was my thinking on the returns, I've purchased tens of thousands of dollars worth of items off Amazon. I probably get 2 items from Amazon every week. I have never returned a thing to Amazon in the 6+ years I've been using it. I have had some items have issues, but I always called the manufacturer, not Amazon.

Right after I posted this I went to Southwest Parts and Service in Dallas to get a reel repaired and they had a bunch of 6500c3's that were new returns (he said something about abu selling rod/reel combos and sometimes people just want the rod and return the reel). He had them for sale for $80 each. After taxes that was about $2 more than I paid on Jet. He had about 6-8 left on Friday so if you wanna go that route you better hurry before they are gone.

Received my reels this morning. They all had Made In Sweden stamped on the side just in case anyone was worried about that.
