Fished Dunlap 12/14 from 9:00 to 3:00. Water temp 63 degrees and a little muddy. Targeted red ear and crappie on night crawlers and crappie jigs.. Caught 0 of both, but did accidentally catch 10 bass, 1 catfish, and a big Tilapia. The bass seem to have taken over the red ear spots for the winter? Foul hooked the tilapia, but what a fight on ultra light...thought my drag would start smoking after a while. I have NEVER caught a single Crappie on Dunlap, but not giving up yet...maybe next year...

Not really into the record thing, but I doubt it...it looked to be about the same size as the skeletal remains I saw in the water at the ramp a few weeks back. Probably went around 3 lbs , but never weighed it...can't wait to see how it tastes...

Nice fish and report "Vogey"! cheers Dunlap has no Tilapia record and yours could have been the first. Next time you get one call me. My scale is certified by Parks and Wildlife and Dunlap is my home lake. Scale is also portable and I can come to you. Cell number is on the Parks&Wildlife Web Site under Public Scales!(Home Lake Dunlap). Again nice Tilapia. thumb

Side Note: I think you are right about the bass taking over the Redear's place this winter! I did have a good Redear day on Mcqueeney this past Friday. coolio

Nice fish. The bite in general has been off this week on Mcqueeny. This latest rainfall has muddied up the water. The bite should improve once colder weather sets in. Again nice catch. Thanks for the Dunlap report.

Me and Mike fished both Dunlap and Mcqueeney this afternoon! You are right Curtis the water on Mcqueeney is muddy. As for Dunlap there was a lot of debris in the water and the water was very stained. taz Did not do good at all on both lakes. hammer I did have a GREAT day this past Friday before the rain. Picked up nice Redear on Mcqueeney. coolio
