Water temp. 65 to 68 depending on what section I was on. Best action taking place in the 66 degree water. Winds out of the north 10 to 15. Cloudy to partly cloudy. ME -- 22 bass Partner -- 5 Partner was having a bad day, missing several good bites. Got there around 12:30, on the water making first cast around1pm. First stop was where I had left off five or six weeks a go with a decent plastic bite. It was totally different, no more grass and just a few bait balls and fish showing up on my graph. Picked up a few real small fish, but it wasnt fun, so I picked up and moved. Now the search is on. Second stop wasnt to bad, started getting a few decent fish on plastic and top water. Kept searching till I had us on a good bite. During this search, Im watching everything thats going on around me, trying to figure out what these fish were doing. After about two hours, I had them somewhat dialed in and started hooking up with some better fish ranging from two pounds to four pounds. Nothing great to write home to Mom about, but it made for a fun day. From about 2:30 to 4:30, working a top water bait in 4 FOW was producing some nice fish. From 4:30 to dark, working up close to the shoreline was better. Towards the end of this trip, I made a move and told my partner this is either going to be a hero or zero move. Well, it wasnt a hero move thats for sure, but we did get a few 3 pound fish. I should have stayed put, we were on a better bite at the last place. But thats fishing, always looking for something bigger and better. I chose to go there because Ive pulled a few fives from this area. With a couple of fours under our belt, a few fives would have been a good way to end the day. But we did manage two double hook ups, so it wasnt a total loss. My 72 yr old partner said he has never witness double hook ups while fishing with top water baits, so I guess the day ended well for him. Sorry the pics don't show up without clicking on each one. I can't remember how to post them on here. I still post these the old fashion way.

Is there another way to post these pics so one doesn't have to open each one? If so, I can not find a way as of now.

It doesn't look like the site where the pics are hosted allows for direct embedding of photos, or this UBB forum code can't resolve it. It looks like you did it right, but I tried putting your links into a post and the pics won't embed into the post when I try it either. You could save your photos to your hard drive and then upload them using the "upload image into post" button next to the "enter an image" button like so: If I could ask, what kind of topwater bait were you using? I haven't had a day over 8 fish there since earlier in the year. I tend to stay over in the Northeast areas of the lake where the trees are, occasionally along the dam. I did pull a nice one last time off the small dam to the right of the intake area on a wakebait. There was a large area of grass near some of the trees where I got some blowups on a frog a few weeks ago, but that grass was mostly gone last week when I went there.

These pics show up on other fishing forums, so I thought maybe there was something different about this one. I use to post pics on here all the time by doing what I did. Yellow magic plug is what I was using. Been using this bait for the past seven years and I really do like the way they work. They look a lot like a pop-r, but they do not make as much noise. Think they run like $16 a piece.
The pics are on my phone, but I got the url from FB.
Thanks for reposting them so they show up.......

Alright, I replaced the hooks, front and back on the topwater baits I like to use. This may sound odd, but I have six of the same baits that I use and when one gets a little beat up, I cut off and tie on another one. When all six are shot, I bring them in and replace everything on them again. This is the third go around on these baits and the paint job is in bad shape, but these thing cost me $16 a piece, so I got a keep on fixing them up. And they still catch fish, so why buy new ones.

I apologies for the way I posted these results. I should have never post who caught what. So wrong in so many ways.

My wife pointed something out to me the other day that kind a hit home. She said that I am way to completive in this sport when I'm out just fun fishing and I should make the attempt to get my fishing partners on more fish than myself in the future.
