Always heard and form past experience that fish that bleed especially from the gills the chances of survival are slim to none.  Side Note: Video is interesting and informative.  I Just feel that the carbonation and ingredients of the drink would kill a fish. Just my two cents.

The way I look at it is if they have a high chance of dying from shock and bleeding out then I am going to do it. I have never had any issues with them in tournaments honestly. Pour it on them then dunk them in the water for a few seconds and see if its stopped. Always heard and form past experience that fish that bleed especially from the gills the chances of survival are slim to none. Side Note: Video is interesting and informative. I Just feel that the carbonation and ingredients of the drink would kill a fish. Just my two cents.

Pretty neat, thanks for the tip, never knew that, and I always take DR. Pepper, etc when I go fishing. Never knew to use it.

I've always have used citrus drinks but never knew dr.pepper or coke would work. Just learned something for sure. Great article.

If they start bleeding I throw them in the cooler. It stopped the bleeding fast. I put him in the box, not thinking he would make it but 3 hrs later he was in great shape so i turned him loose.
