My son is in the Marines, and has been stationed in Okinawa Japan for the last year and a half . we've got limited time before he has to go back. I know Squaw, and feel confident that I can get him on some decent fish. Fork, not so much. I'd love for him to catch a hog, but I'm afraid of going to fork and striking out. Haven't been to Fork since this summer and have no idea what the fish are doing right now. What would you do? Any tips would be appreciated. Not looking for locations just some hints if you do recommend Fork. Thanks!

Squaw was slow for me today caught a lot of toddlers. The big fish have disappeared for us. But I can't catch fish out of there anyways! LOL but being as close to Squaw as you are I would go there with the limited time you have to spend with him.

Go to squaw.
There are Giants out there also.

You know how it's fishing and know you can get bites. I wouldn't drive 3 hours for hopes and dreams.

was at squaw today and caught around 25 but most came after 1:30 pm. Biggest one was around 4 lbs. Had my 12 year old son with me and we had a good time..We had a fog delay for about 2 hours.

Went to Fork Tuesday and Wednesday and it was tough! I know it has been fishing hard lately because of the heavy rain and they are pulling a lot of water. Other people we talked to said it was tough for them as well.

I would stick to what you are confident in.

Good luck wherever you go and tell your son thank you for his service.

Go to squaw. If you don't catch
fish at least you won't be robbed by methheads.

Had I known this I would still be asleep. Haven't caught a good fish out there in a month.guess I will pick on the kids until I get bored.

I was on Fork Thursday & Squaw Friday. We caught them good both places. More numbers on squaw but we had a couple over 5lbs on both lakes. PM me & I will be glad to help out a marine.

Thanks again guys for the input. I'm going to take him to squaw and if there's enough time, we'll squeeze in a trip to fork. Much appreciated!
