Fished Tawakoni yesterday with my buddy Al ,and Dave Wand.Got on the water about mid day on our way south on the lake saw a group of birds diving in shallow water.Dave casted a few times hooked up,and lost a good one. Tryed some deep water after that producing some dink whitebass.We chased several groups of birds to find them over bait ,and loons with no fish.Moved back out into deeper water started picking at them with a hybrid,and Striper here, and there.About the last two hours the wind picked back up,and they really got active.What worked for us 30 to 40 foot of water close to structure. We were throwing 4 inch and larger Sassy shad Leting it sink a 5 to 10 count when fish were comeing in scatterd.We moved all the way up into about 12 foot of water at one time When they fish got active the fish would hit it almost as soon as it hit the water,or as soon as we started reeling the birds finally showed the way after fibbing all day...
