I just moved my Yak to my Lake Fork place. I have never had a need for a dolly to move my Yak but now I do. I do not know anything about them and I am looking for suggestions as to model, manufacturer, and approximate price. I have a 12' Native.

Some people will make carts out of PVC. I have made some in the past they usually work fairly well on flat ground. But all have eventually broke on me. Store bought carts usually start around $30 and go up from there. If your not into making your own Academy has a decent cart for $30. "No limits Kayak cart" for the price it should do you well.

If decide to make one just search, "DIY kayak cart" you will find plenty of ideas.

I have a Native Ultimate 14.5 Tandem and bought the Native cart. I've probably only used it twice, I just carry the kayak from my storage shed to the driveway. The Native cart is pricey but worked well.

This is what I'm using on my Ultimate 12. When I made mine I made the axle wider to add stability.

I don't have a kayak but I have a 75lb canoe and the dolly is worth it's weight in gold, especially if you put in at remote spots where it's a ways to the water.

I have the navite cart with an ultimate 14.5 solo and have never questioned the expenditure after using it.

Aside from homemade experiments, the Native cart is the only way to go. They are a little pricey but are made for the your Native's unique hull shape.

Mariner Sails should have one in stock. You might want to call and confirm.

Homemade Experiments! Not sure you intended for that to sound the way I took it!

Not sure how it would work with your hull configuration, but the bride got me a C-Tug a few years ago and I really like it. Having the ability to quickly dismantle it, store it in a hatch, and reassemble it in a few seconds is very handy. My homemade cart would sometimes shift positions and drag in the water when I would bungee it over the tankwell. I have also seen some homemade carts that were made to disassemble and store. At least for me, that's been a handy feature.
