Hello everyone,
I am new here. In more ways then one. I'm going to be coming down to Texas to fish for the first time from IL. I'm sure most tactics are similar. I will in a kayak. But besides that are there any rigs or geographical features I should look for since it is January. Of course your January is different then mine. This year being an exception lol I already fish sassy shad and flukes up here. But what are some other key lures I need in my tackle box. Besides the basic rattle trap. I will be camping at lake texoma state park if anyone is familiar with that? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Not sure I would wanna be in kayak on Texoma in the winter. You would have to be in a well protected cove.

Slabs work good. Seems like most of the fish being caught right now is coming on live bait.

Illini in a kayak, you'll be fine. Work the windblown banks, plastics and small spinners. Check Axman @reaxtionlures for local items.
