what are yalls thoughts on them... The heliums are as expensive as a dang G Loomis GLX.. when you get to a rod that expensive are they all good or what?

IMHO the difference is very small. I fish TFO Tactical rods and for $150-$160 they are a steal. If I wanted to step up from there I'd go right to the Edge rods.

I have 12 Kistlers from Heliums to the Mags and haven't been disappointed yet!1 The Heliums are on par price wise with most upper end rods and they always a sale going on. What Helium are you looking for? Jeff

Kistler makes a great rod and some of the most sensitive on the market. The ZBones are special and hard to beat for bottom contact baits. KLX is a great choice as well if your looking for middle price range offerings

KLX is a great choice as well if your looking for middle price range offerings +1 I'm using Z-bone, Helium & KLX rods. They are great rods. They range from 6'9" to 8' for various methods. Luv them.

I fish mostly GLoomis and Kistler rods. Kistler makes very good rods and a lot of the blanks come from Gary Loomis at NFC.

I have a boat full of old Mags. I really want to upgrade, but I like what I have so much I keep using them.
The KLX is the North Fork Composites from Loomis.
The new Mags are sweet as well.

The ones I have are all pretty nice. Problem is they are not readily available around where I'm at. Don't like ordering in rods if I don't have to, I like to inspect them before buying.

I own z bone, helium, magnesium, argon, and carbon steel rods. I am a huge fan of Kistler rods. I purchased a 7'6" mh 4 power custom z bone last year with spiral wrapped guides for throwing senkos and flukes and it is by far my favorite rod. It takes a lot of restraint not to purchase more Kistler rods when they have their 35 percent off sales or when I see them posted for sale here on the forum.

The new Magnesium 2 with the lime green handles are my new favorite rod! They are awesome!! I love the oversized butt cap that comes on the rod, it's light weight, and is made in the USA. I'm thoroughly impressed with mine.
