i haven't bass fished Roberts in over a month now- any advice? Are they grouped up or scattered all over the place? Moving baits or slow down? What's been working for you?

Thanks!

35-45' on creek bends and drop offs are where the Shad are but the bass bite is slow.

If the water is not too muddy look extremely deep 25-45'. There is no thermocline so they could be that deep. I've seen them that deep on most Texas lakes in the past couple weeks.

Fished it Sunday afternoon. Didn't have to fish that deep to get bit. Water was stained on the south end. Most of my fish came in the 8-12' depth range. Medium running cranks. Find rocks near points and breaks. I did mark a lot out in the deep 30'+ range, but was catching them well enough to stay shallower.

For me this is the toughest lake around when the water drops into the 50s. I live 20 minutes from the ramp and will drive to Squaw and others until it warms up in a couple months.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Kind of funny you ask about advice on this lake and people help out. If you ask about other lakes (certain power plant lake) and all you get is go out and find on your own.

Roberts is a nut a lot of us are trying to crack I guess lol. I'm not expecting much today, but I've been off the water far to long! I'll confirm the lack of fishing success this evening =)

Thanks for the info fellas!!

no $$$ to be made on Roberts this time of year

ask about it in the spring and you will see the opposite

I don't typically mind giving out some info. I'm a believer in confidence. Doesn't matter how much you know, if you don't have confidence in doing what someone tells you is working, you probably won't catch them. "Go out there and figure them out" is the best advice anyone can give IMO. Takes away what's so great about this sport if you're using everyone else's information to put you on fish.

Got out there kind of late (11:30) and left kind of early (2:30). Caught 1 spotted bass on a drop shot, thx James, off a foundation in ~15' of water. Water temp was 55, pretty stained on the main lake with A LOT of trash in the water still.

Met a couple of nice guys at the ramp- an old timer named Herb who helped backed my boat in for me, and - fellow TFF'r Russel (nice to meet you again!)
