Has anyone been to southlake recently? I finish finals early today and am looking at heading there after school. If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it.

Not really that recent but I went the day before Thanksgiving and my buddy and I didnt get a bite in five hours... it was stupid windy that day and made fishing tough but that's the only time I've zeroed there in maybe a dozen trips...

I have had some success there even when the water was in the forties but the one thing that always seemed to turn the bite on was the sun warming up the side out of the wind... even then you had to fish a senko or a brush hog really slow...

I haven't been in a while but I went several times this year. Caught some decent fish there and they usually went for senko style worms, small flukes in white, or my favorite black and blue flake chigger craws. I also had decent luck with 2-5 foot diving cranks in bluegill pattern. I did good in the back little coves and along the dam was really good.

Good luck.
