Were can I launch my 19ft boat on the Trinity river to catch some big gar? Been to Cayuga on highway 287 and the ramp is not as bad as ppl say. Looking for another spot to launch, preferably north of Cayuga , I also have a 10ft boat that can be carried for a few yards. I also have a front winch that can be use to lower the small boat down a hill if needed. Any spots will be greatly appreciated. The true task will be hooking into a monster!

There have been a couple topics come up like this, exact title of thread you used pull a search on it. I have heard of a ramp on loop 12, but I don't know of it.

Yes I am getting ready for spring, I've been at the one at loop 12 but its too far up north for big gar and there's a dam that stops the gar from coming upstream. I did a research on it and the threads of the ramps don't come up. Maybe they are over a year old.

My bad, I meant to post the bank comment in another thread. No other ramps to be had north. There is a dirt ramp at 79 84 outside palestine, a small boat launch at hwy 7 and a ramp at 21 which is dangerous if you have never seen it at low water. Drops directly off into 12 fow and it's expanded metal with holes in it. Also old guard rails you can hang up on when back8ng up

Colemans camp ground has a nice ramp close to 21. $10 for launch.
