Getting a Helix 9 and would like feedback on whether users like Lake Master or Navionics better.
Navionics has HD Charts of some of the lakes I fish regularly whereas Lake Master doesn't.
Also, with either of these, is it useful to buy the individual Chart Select Maps?
Any input appreciated.

I like the LakeMaster over Navionics for the lakes I fish. The lakes I fish are in HD. I also have the Navionics in the other slot but rarely utilize it.

I went with Lake Master over the Navionics when I got my last Graph. I like the Lakemaster better so far. I using it on an Onix.

Coverage where you want it how you want it is the most important.

With the Lakemaster coverage only the locations indicated as Lakemaster High Definition Survey are good. The other two versions are problematic. High Definition Survey and Standard.

Pretty much the same with Navionics. The Navionics HD locations are better than the other maps.

You can view the current Navionics maps on the Navionics website's WEB APP. Those are current as of today. There are two map layers. One is Nautical Charts (Navionics maps) and the other is Sonar Charts ( user generated data maps).

You can download the Lakemaster list for your region from the Humminbird Lakemaster site.

If just one or two bodies of water you are interested in is Lakemaster High Definition Survey, then the Chart Select program is a good choice for those locations. Lots of features/settings.
Just need to encrypt a SD card to download the map to. Only one location per memory card.

Thanks for the input.
I went on the Navionics website to the section where you can check compatibility of their products with different units and it did not show any charts that worked on the Helix 9.
I assume that it is a mistake, but will call to make sure.
