Hey guys, Ed Phillips at Pro Angler Tackle just received the new dock shooter that I've been begging him to build for some time....and man, I was NOT disappointed. To start with, the rod has a great looking bronze color to it, with a perfect finish. The cork handle/reel seat is new with no threads exposed once you install your reel. And the action is perfect. Tip is not too heavy and not too light, and the mid section (backbone) is enough to set the hook on any fish. Ed only got 20 of them in, so if you're wanting a great shooter/dock rod, you better hurry

You were not to post this until I got mine....I am in a deer blind and hope he still has one when I return Monday. Call him for me and get one headed my way please. Shhhhh!!! I am in a deer blind and will return Monday morning.

You're supposed to be looking for deer not reading msgs. I'm guilty of picking my stand location depending on cell service occasionally!! I love flinging arrows but man I hate deer waiting!!! The Pro Anglers are tough as nails. The one little man got 2 years ago in the Fork tournament is his main rod and anything that kid can use for 2 years without destroying is a great product!!

Well guys, I put the new Pro Angler Tackle shooter in action this weekend and the total was 35 crappie. Of course, I used it as a dock rod instead of a shooter but am very satisfied with this rod. It is as close as you can get to a perfect 5'5" rod. And for $43, you can't beat it. Can't locate them on website? Ed hasn't put it on the website yet. He wanted to make sure that the rod was what it should be....and it is!!
