I agree, they were biting good yesterday with water temp around 60 degrees. Definitely think it was because of the warm up this week and upcoming change today.
Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

We were on them good at Fork but the wind eventually won. We toughed it out all day until about 4:30pm. It followed us everywhere we went because it was blowing so hard.

Yes sir. Very windy on all the east Texas lakes. I thought I could tough out the wind. Man. Was I wrong. In a 17ft boat with a 55lb TM. It was a pretty good time!
Fished till around 2:30. And the down pour and wind was a little too much.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I had to trim the motor up and idle it back to the ramp on the main lake. At one point I had the leave the bilge pump on because of all the water running over the nose fishing a MLP. Fun stuff...

LBJ fished pretty well yesterday for me and my dad. We didn't catch a giant yesterday but we caught a ton of fish. Managed to put my dad on some good fish too. We had probably 40-45 fish. Most of em' around 3 pounds. He did manage to catch one just shy of 7 pounds. The smile on his face was priceless! I always enjoy spending time with my dad. But like others have mentioned, it was hard out there if you wanted to go offshore. Wind was about 23 MPH constant, with 31 MPH gusts; forecast said 18 MPH constant and 20 MPH gusts. They were oh so wrong!! We fished offshore for about 10 minutes and said "bump that" and we went and beat the bank for the whole day. Worked out well too!

I've fished tourneys where I had to leave the motor running to keep the livewell and bilge going. It was so rough, that water was washing over the BOW while I was drop shotting on the main lake. The boat was taking on water in huge swells. Scary [censored]. And knowing that the bilge is the only thing keeping it above water is kinda scary too. Placing my boat, gear, and dry clothing in the faith of a $30 pump. Haha it's unnerving at best.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.
