Ran out for a quick trip Saturday morning, had a double limit of trout before 10am we moved around some trying to find some more Reds but the trout bite would not stop, decided to call it an early day. Throwing paddle tails on the bottom with a slow retrieve in about 4 feet of water. They were just barley picking it up giving a slight thump I really think fishing with braid gives you advantage especially with such a lite bite.

1st glance I thought your title to this thread read " Port O'Conner trout trump"

Then I was thinkin' .. did he fish "The Donald" ? wink

And yeah, my Guide Service was one of the 1st in Texas that was sponsored by Power Pro back in 1995 .. seems like yesterday ... and with a graphite rod you can feel the slightest bump while fishing with braid.

Love the feel of braid line. I think it can out fish any other line when the fish are being slow to hit. A good sensitive rod really helps too.
