Do not have my boat or anything up here with me. my wife is coming up I am going to have her bring me a couple rods so I can go kill some time on the banks...... Any advice of where to go would be awesome!!!

Thomas Jefferson park in Irving. It's off of hidden ridge and north mcarthur. Also, Bachman lake which is on northwest highway west of marsh and Lemmon. You should find some good fishies there

What kind you wanna catch? Also, remember that freshwater fish usually require much lighter tackle and gear than saltwater. We got plenty of bank accessible water, especially with all the rain we have had the latter half of this year. Fishing for crappie, catfish and bass is pretty good right now from the shore. So welcome aboard and GO GETCHA SOME!
