I am probably a little early but want to catch the sandies early. Is any one catching sand bass in the Neches River at Chandler yet? I want to say they ran at the end of December last year. Any help on locating some will be appreciated. Thanks...

We were on Hubbard yesterday. They were in about 32 foot of water. Sometimes on the very bottom, then 5 to 8 ft off bottom. Had to put the hook in their mouth. Watch your lure on the sonar screen. When they yawn put the hook in their mouth. That is how it seemed to be. The I pilot was having a fit, fighting against the wind. Then the rain chased us back to the ramp. The rain caught up to us bout mid lake.

I've not seen many people fishing at either bridge in Chandler yet. Most likely still a bit early.
