Myself,Mike "USMC-GY" and Donnie "Led Pencil" made a trip to the east side of the Guadalupe River. We nailed the Texas Two Step. Crappie and Sunfish! We fished from 7am till 1pm and we really had to work for them. We managed to catch some very nice Crappie that were in the 13 to 15 inch range. The Crappie were scattered. We fished several locations and also found some very nice Bluegill,Redbreast,Hybrids,and Redear. A nice bass rounded out the catch. Overall the bite as fair. Most of the fish were released but a few were kept for the dinner table. The water was cloudy due to fast currents. Crappie were located in 9 to 12 feet of water by brush piles. The Sunfish were in 5 to 7 feet of water holding under over hanging trees. Worms,Jigs,and Minnows were the baits used with most fish including the Sunfish being caught with jigs. (Chartreuse/pink and Chartreuse/black). After a day on the river we stopped on the way back home at the El.Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant located in New Braunfels for some great Mexican Food! Catching the Texas Two Step! It just don't get any better!

Thanks Jamie! Yes Sir Mike did not catch his regular two pound Crappie this trip! Donnie got the BIG FISH of the day with his going about 15"!
