Man that is some helpful info there TFFers. Nice to see that a newbie to the forum can come on here and actually receive some help.
Brandon, make sure you check out the shows on Honey Hole where he fishes the lake. Bill Wilcox is more than happy to share his "secrets" every time he does a show. All episodes are available online and is probably better info than anything you can get here.

Here is a Tip Put your time in on the water and you wont need the help of others Get over yourself. That's what part of the board is for. To help others. IF you don't want to help others then don't. I have helped others and others have help me. Fish to your strength on squaw. Like said before there are fish shallow and deep. Over 15 foot I am not as good but I can catch fish on squaw because some are shallow. Fish around that 10 to 12 foot range in tree's and you will e fine.

Why does everyone want to shut Brandon down? I do believe part of the reason the forum functions is because of the information people receive. Everyone assumes that if he goes and scouts the lake, he will catch fish. That is not necessarily true. If he is a beginner, he could go out 5 times and not do well; information helps people who would not normally do well on the water.
I went out this past weekend, and did alright considering how tough everyone said it was. We mainly fished texas rigs on the south end of the lake. Most banks with a mixture of rock and wood will hold fish. The steeper banks can be even better. Although, squaw offers versatile fishing, so any confidence bait will work. I do like darker colors on squaw creek. You could also try weightless baits (flukes and senkos). If you can find fish deep, good for you. I am not proficient in that field.
Good luck

Brandon, like some people have said on here, spend 15-20 minutes of on-line map study, make a plan, and go fish 10-15 feet in timber and you should catch some. If I was planning for a tournament in February, I would devote a lot of my time to map study and graphing the lake initially, then finding my top 10-15 spots that got bit. 2 months is a long time to prepare, you should do well.
