What reel are y'all using for A-Rigs? All of my reels have small spools. I did have some Curado/Chronarch E series but just got rid of them, now I don't have a reel with enough line capacity( Metaniums and Tourney Pros). Not interested in Diawa Lexa due to their weight.

Get a reel with beefed up gears. I've destroyed two very expensive reels in my learning process.

This or get cheap reels and chunk them when they wear out. The one I'm using sounds like it is gonna blow any minute.

Shimano Calcutta D

I use the CT201D. It has performed flawlessly for me! I've been super happy with this reel and I have zero complaints. It has a strong, smooth drag system and the retrieve is like butter (X Ship Technology is amazing at making the retrieve smooth). It's a heavy duty reel so you know it won't burn out on you after continued use of heavy duty lure applications. It's a great reel for A-Rigs!

Get a 250-300 series reel that is meant to handle the amount of weight you are throwing. I prefer the Curado 300, but there are some other great reels out there to consider as well. Good luck!

Recently went through this. Wanted the Super Duty, and might go there eventually, but I like to feel before I buy... I ended up with the BPS Inshore Extreme:
