I like the idea of carrying a portable jump starter and will look into this before spring.
I have changed the "new cranking battery" that I had on my ProXS225 to the battery below.
If your charger will work with an AGM battery, you might want to try one of these to help alleviate problems on the front end.

I do not understand why this item isn't a standard option on all bass boats. I've had this problem myself, and have fished as a co with too many pros, who, at the end of the day are having to rearrange batteries, or pulling out jumper cables. With this, you just push a button, and it changes the power source to a trolling motor battery. As soon as you release, it goes back to the cranking battery so it can be charged by the alternator.

Wow, I never realized jumper cables were so scary, difficult, or time consuming. All that's needed is a short set that can usually be stashed where you'd never put tackle anyway. Cables let you easily try more than one chosen battery if you drained the tm batteries also. Cables let me assist another boat too, and I saved $220!

I like technology, but sometimes the marketeers take it too far in solving a problem that already has an elegant/simple solution.

Here is the actual price ($119) and there are several dealers who carry them. http://tournamentsaverpro.com/store/
I carried a special set of jumper cables for years before finding this product. It is worth it to me to push a button on the dash and hit the key. No big thrash five minutes before the weigh in. Each to his own. I don't have or want power poles, but will have this in every boat.
