2000 25 yami four stroke.

I recently changed the oil and filter just like every year. Just came back from a duck hunt where the temps got into the lower 20's.

The last day of the hunt I noticed a small sheen on the water around the motor. Got it home and noticed some oil residue around the exhaust port on the back of the motor. I pulled the cowl and noticed some more residue coming out of the air intake. Checked the oil and it was way over full, milky and runny.

I ran ran it a couple times before the hunt with the fresh oil, and checked the oil before we left. It was perfect.

The weird thing is it starts and runs fine still.

What gives? Any guesses?

Over full, milky and runny sounds like you are getting fuel contamination to be over full and runny. Milky oil is a sign of a water intrusion. Hope its only condensation from the cool temps. I am guessing that the needle in the carb stuck temporarily allowing fuel to run in the motor. Change the oil and filter and watch it.

Ran into this problem on the yammy 4 strokes. Thermostat stuck open causing blow by. just did a 225 that had 4 inches more oil than what was suppose to be. Engine dieseled and popped the cam pulley.
