Went to Martin today and the ranger told e they found it When I launched near boat ramp they had floats out and had emergency response team trying to get it out Just letting everyone know it's on the lake and take appropriate measures not to spread... Carry on

I haven't noticed any but thanks for the heads up. It's been on Murvaul for awhile so I guess it was just a matter of time for Martin. I bet the power plant can help control it....they've got the finances.

Man it's good that they were being proactive with it. I wish we had done that sort of thing here in Louisiana instead of just watching grow.

I was there for three days last week. The ranger talked to some of us at the ramp Friday afternoon about watching for it because it has been found at Pines and other lakes, but he said what they are doing at Martin Creek is preventive rather than a response to finding actual salvinia.

What's the difference In this stuff versus hycine or however you spell it? Biggest thing is that it reproduces every 24hrs...it can spread like crazy. Giant Salvinia is really bad. The regular Salvinia is much like hyacinthe in size and growth rate.

Yup they do but they stopped me on check in and told me they found it... It was by the boat ramp and around swimming area they said they contained it and think they got it out went back out today and they said it seems to be contained but to report it if anyone finds it anywhere ....
