Going to make a lot of difference on your location and weight of you and accessories in the boat. That is about what that boat would run at my altitude. 2700 ft. Steve will chime in on the jack plate and prop.

68 is fairly slow for a 26p prop.

what rpm are you turning?
how many talons or poles on boat?

is this boat loaded heavy?

you may need to have the prop worked

I am running 6000 to 6100 rpm. I am 230 pounds and not a big load of tackle.

Steve is the guy you need to talk to. I think I recommended him to you on the skeeter page. You need to go measure the prop shaft to pad. The dots don't matter until you know and mark the measurement. Then send his shop the prop or don't...There isn't a magical answer, but a good prop guy with experience setting up similar rigs will get you close.

turning a 26p to 6k you should be running around 75.9 (that's 10% slip)

there is definately something wrong in the setup or the prop. (or both)
