 are cedar trees ok to sink for brush

We are needing to add brush to our dock and are thinking of using cedar trees. I have several
that I can cut if they will work ok. The water is around 25 foot and The trees are around 6 foot
tall. What do you think?

I've got about 1/4 mile of fence row needs cleaning if you want some more.

Yep
We would thin our trees by cutting off every other branch. We put a row directly in the center of the opening, and then add the rest to the outside of the dock, leaving the inside edge free of brush to fish in without being hung up all the time.
