IF Squaw goes down or any other power plant they might need to run. Even if they are not running they have to run water through the plant. Monticello runs as needed. I think one of the generators has the new scrubbers that is needed ( I could be wrong) to comply with EPA standards. Welsh has new scrubbers on 2 of the generators.

Has anyone ever seen / found a list of all the cooling power plant lakes in Texas? I guess I am getting lazy, and don't want to do the research!

There's a list in an article that TPWD posted last year, I think. However, it just lists the lake, not the extent to which they are generating.

May be going tomorrow morning or wednesday, any Techniques recommended? Bass, Catfish, Crappie, or sandies(notsure if hybrids in here?) would all be worthy targets for me. Havnt fished it in years and just tryin to reel in a few of anything with some old buds

Last Saturday temps were in the 60-65 degree range, about the same at Welsh.

They were generating, and they closed the gates at the dam. They were running one stack for sure... But the bite was OFF for me (and a few of the others I spoke with). I did see a couple of guys in a tracker beyond the off limits area (second week in a row) catching/keeping fish right up against the fence in the discharge.
