DW said he needed to feed his grandkids some crappie and wanted to go on a milk run.

Well it kinda started off like a sour milk run, my TM release cord snapped in half on the 1st deploy among other mishaps.

Ole Darrell was quick to help out, with the on the water repair and we were on our way again only to find the crappie stacked up and not willing to bite.

We stayed after them picking up one fish per stop, I think we actually did catch two at one spot. Fish were inactive, so we switch to a 1/16oz jig head and it seemed to help a little. Even with no wind, that was a slow slow fall in deep water.

Anyways we told more lies, than fish were caught. Ended up scratching out a cooler full, so you can just imagine how deep the BS was in the bottom of the boat. Ha.

It was the slowest of bites and took a long time to get one caught. Fished in 26 to 32 FOW, black and chartreuse, white and chartreuse Rock Top's did the best. BF'sOTD were 2.2, 2.2, 2.1 with the the 7 best being 12.9, ended up with only 30 keepers.

Enjoyed it my brother Darrell, now feed them kids! Grin.

A few pics.

That's still a good mess of fish for a slow bite. It was slow here today also and I only boated 6 keepers. Those are some pretty slabs. thumb

Kirk enjoyed learning to juke from you.Guys I have fished with some intense fisherman but Kirk takes it to a next level.Today was the hardest fishin day I ever had but learned to dig in and stay focused. We had 30 keepers I don't know how many throw backs.I figured we hit between 50 to 60 spots. You can teach an old dog new tricks. It was the nug I needed to fish and search for fish in a different manner. Thanks Kirk. Now go buy a new hat because I know you head just swoll up.ha Darrell
