Need some guidance from my TFF brothers.
This is my first year chasing whites, hybrids and stripers. Has a blast. Fished with live bait all year and while I didn't shatter any records, I hada good time and caught at least one fish every trip. I call that success.
I want to deadstick and have no idea where to start. I have Moes Tackle Shop sending me a starter pack to give me a handful of baits to start with.
Where do i look for the fish? Deep water, shallow water, sloughs??? Will be trying it out on B'port if that makes a difference.

I was there yesterday. Caught several hybrids on my crankbait on the south point leading into spillway in 8-10 feet of water. Other then that they've been scattered when I've tried to catch only hybrid. Not sure how to catch them this time of year there

Whacked them last week and Saturday deadsticking. The "Stripaholic" rig from RSR is the way to go on Bridgeport. Fish are not as deep as they will be, and they are moving fast. Picked up most in flats 20-30 feet deep. Lots of birds here now, most are working the incredible amount of Shad in the lake. There are some working fish, just have to find them.

Best advice I can give you is book a trip with Matt Cartwright on Lake Tawakoni. If it is a long drive for you to get to Tawakoni then book a room the night before at Shoestring Farms. If you cant find 3 or 4 friends to go with you, book the trip anyway and post here in the forum you are looking for some guys to fill the it. I have done this several times and always have it filled in a day or two and have a blast fishing with new guys. You will learn everything you need to know on the trip, and if you don't go you will have no idea what you are missing. I have fished three other lakes using what I learned there and it has translated very well. I promise you will not regret it.
And to answer your question you should probably be looking in deep water or drop offs or flats close to it.

...or book a trip with BridgeportGuide. Its hard to believe how easy it is until you fish with someone that knows what they are doing and what to look for on the graph. If there are birds at Bridgeport then it should be even easier.

Dead sticking is picking up for sure. Lake Texoma is producing....and some nice fish. The big uns might a gone over the dam like some folks believe but there are a lot of 3 to 7 pound fish running around. Their bellies are absolutely stuffed with 2 to 3 inch shad.
